So Friday my supervisor here told me that I had to return my Opel Corsa today at 8am to exchange it for a smart car. (Which is an automatic by the way. So when I asked last week for an automatic I could of gotten one. But I was told there aren't any automatics in my vehicle class). Regardless, I stop by to say good morning to my supervisor an he asks why am I here and not in Cologne at the customer? So I woke up early and brought the car in for nothing. Apparently my replacement car does not come in until noon... or at least that's what I can figure based on the gibberish, grunts, and hand waving from the gateman. My supervisor here told me to learn german, but due to my short time they would not pay for any lessons etc... after his comment I have motivation not to learn any German at all, but then this trip will be a complete waste.
Since I still do not know how I am expensing things I figured I'd return my car without fueling it. Well the gateman caught on to that one and made me put gas in it. The problem? I don't understand German. I had no idea which fuel to put in the car. So I called every contact I have at the office and, what a shocker, no one answered. Sitting in the car at the gas station I called the only american I know here and of course got my answer. Thanks for the support Kiekert!
