22.5 hours and counting...

Not until I get home, but how long I've been awake. Originally it sounded like a good idea. Staying awake to put myself in a serious state of fatigue for the flight. My flight is in the middle of the day German time and 9 hours long. I have read all of my books that I brought and have nothing to amuse myself with on the plane so I figured I could just sleep the whole flight. At first I thought I would stay up late (read 2am) so I pounded a couple red bulls after I got done climbing and hopped on the ol' computer to finish off secret of mana on Zsnes. After completing that it was still kind of early so I downloaded Lufia II since I never finished that in the past. I cranked a funky beat off surfmusik.de and had a go at the game. Since everything shuts down my red bull supply was vanquished and I thought I might catch a few Z's. Low and behold it is now past 5:30am. So with some more packing to be done I cancelled the nap and went on walkabout in search of more red bull. Sure enough the corner gas station is still not open. Neither are the tasty Merzenich's that serve all kinds of breads and pastries... aren't bakeries supposed to open at 4am? McDonalds was closed too which was a shock. I did however find a European equivalent of a 7eleven called a Kiosk that had ice cold red bulls. Another nice note is that now that it is winter in Germany the sun hasn't risen yet. At least the past 3 months here have prepared me well for this. Now the major questions for the new day:
1) Will the crazy scheme work?
2) How will this affect my ability to operate a motor vehicle that handles like a rudderless sailboat?
3) Will I make it to work on Thursday?
4) Is it safe to eat breakfast or will that cause a serious food coma?

Come back next week for the exciting conclusion, same bat time, same bat channel!

(Yes Chris, I am the batman... It's surprising how quickly I was able to work that in)

Way to go! Though I'm not sure it yet compares to my 30 hour straight drive from Phoenix back to Livonia with no sleep and only stopping for gas but you keep kicking ass. Why the hell are you going to work thursday? are you insan?

This sounds like a recipe for disaster. Not sure why you're going to work on Thursday. You're likely to have bad jet lag. And Chris is insane too. We drove some crazy number of hours straight from Roswell, NM to Raleigh, NC but there were 3 of us to trade off!
