I'm invited to my supervisors birthday party tomorrow night. At the same time I'm pissed about not being able to schedule days off and have no interest in going. I was invited to Kai's friend's birthday party tonight so I think I'll be in town this weekend, which is totally lame (not going to the party, that'll be cool, but being in town). The best part is after this morning the whole team knows I hate Germany. We had a round table discussion about my anger over not being able to schedule time off. Good news is I think I've found a way around that, it just means limited preparation time for setting up a hostel and travel path. The other bad part is people expect that since I don't drink I'll be an free taxi service to and from the party Saturday, which I am not. It would be fine if someone asked and they were on the way, but when the statement, 'you're going to the party, good you can pick me up then,' is made I immediately say no. If I go tomorrow it'll be a last minute decision and I will be driving myself only. Unfortunately Joerg and Frank asked me to come and they're cool in my book so I think I should go. We'll see though as it'll be a last minute decision.Another entry for Antonio - From Contest status...

I would go to the party and only drive your cool friends. Make sure the a-holes at the party know you drove them, especially the one who basically demanded you drive him. That's just wrong. I don't even ask you to drive us to Beer Fest when you come out, let alone demand it.
