Oh Snap...

I finally snapped at someone today. I was in that same meeting that two weeks ago was held entirely in German except where they made fun of my lack of understanding. Last week I skipped the meeting and took a half day. I returned today in at least a decent mood. Not much was actually bothering me as I got my allowance today and a free lunch. The meeting wasn't too bad actually, only 80% German and 20% English as they actually had to ask me some questions. However, at one point, much like always I was trying to make a comment when everyone sort of ignored me and started talking over me. I tried again to ask a simple question when a colleague began to argue with me without me finishing my thought. It was about that time I got really pissed. Then unfortunately he asked what was my question, at that time I tried to keep my mouth shut and replied, 'I have no question.' Smiled, closed my notebook, and put my pen down. At that time he switched back to German and I caught 'don't understand' and 'scheisse.' At which point I said in a flat clear voice, 'du bist scheisse,' with a big grin on my face. That's when the 20 seconds of complete silence followed and for the first time people paid attention to me. He was pissed, I felt a little better. I apologized after the meeting, but again, he was still really pissed. It's unfortunate since he was one of the few people that was nice to me here... just the wrong place, the wrong time, and I hate this place.

There however is light at the end of the tunnel. Time is flying and what little time I have left here has become completely booked. Today marks the 1 month remaining point. October 24th people... October 24th... huzzah!

He he, I spent all of yesterday trying not to snap at people. Guess I was more successful. Then again my sleep-deprivation-plus-pms snapping could have landed me in jail so I had more incentive to avoid all human contact.

Bravo! Now just eliminate all the Germans and we'll all be better off! If you can take out the french too, that'd be great.

Well, at least people now know you can understand Deutsch, and will speak in nasty Deutsch terms when aggravated.
