The end is near...

3 weeks left. The customer I report to as well as my customer counterpart are both out of the office. The first in China for 2 weeks, the latter on vacation for 3 weeks. I got into the office this morning to having absolutely nobody in my area. It was kind of lonely. The good news is that I don't have too many people pestering me for stuff. Although there's the phantom email list of things for me to accomplish/follow up on over the next 2 weeks. I'm not sure how much will get done since I don't know any of the people to talk to, nor exactly what needs to be done. Whatever...
I go to the home office tomorrow to get my money and have a meeting with the engineering head and my supervisor. Turns out the HR dude is still on vacation today and returning tomorrow according to the people in the office. I doubt they know what they're talking about, but I'm starting to cut into the white meat after that Oslo excursion and need a liquidity injection. The meeting is for a discussion of the details of my final week here in Europe. I need to know what's expected of me before I schedule my trip to the Czech Republic. I also need to start planning my exit strategy from my apartment and the people I've met here. I think I'll probably take off without much fanfare or any kind of last hurrah... well that'll be Prague, but it's my last hurrah, not a group deal. Although Joerg has invited me and a guest to a Halloween party on the 31st. This could be problematic as my guest is more than 2 hours away and I don't have details on CZ.
This weekend Lili is supposed to come to town and hang out, but she's set the stage for bailing. Jen is in town from the US, but going to Paris. We're supposed to go out some night this week, I'm thinking duck again at that Chinese restaurant. But since ze Germans like her, I'm sure she'll have plenty of invites for after work activities to fill up her time. Which is good as I need to do laundry (again) and rest up with this persistent cold. Plus Duma Key is a great book and the weather is decent for the fall (read: not raining). That and I'm mildly busy with climbing and dining with other randoms I've met. It's kind of funny how this whole trip didn't get really interesting socially until the very end. I at least have about a dozen places to stay in the area should I ever want to come back. I might actually do it to, if the flight isn't too bad. I hear carnival is a blast in February and there will be a couple people that I miss when I'm back state side. What a shocker, I know!
I apologize for the rambling (if you don't like it, see my shirt to the left... hehe yeah Joey's Comedy club), however it appears the bunny crew is hung over from the beerfest. NicBunny/Antonio - where's the pictures of the stein being used? Everyone else apparently got a late start today too, so I've got nobody to talk to at the moment... Other than the German guy who tried to convince me that Cliff could be spelled Clive and pronounced the same way in English. I was right of course. Anyway, for today's moment of Zen...

I noticed that my youtube links can expire as I was flipping back through the blog... so I guess the surprise is ruined since if the link doesn't work (and for future reference) see 'Bush' - 'Everything Zen.'

Well Wed was drinking shenanigans, Thurs was GABF, Fri was hitting 3 breweries, Sat was game then brewery then my party, and Sun was sleeping. I fell asleep on the couch like 4 times yesterday. My stein was in good use on Wed and Sat. I filled it with the chocolate chili porter I had on tap for the party.

Well Scott, you'll be happy to know I picked up the slack in beerpong. Sorry nicbunny, I know you tried hard, but it was for the best that I had to make all 12 regulation and 6 overtime cups by myself in the defeat of Matt and Eric.
